Rabbi Jacob Rupp

Rabbi Jacob Rupp, hailing from California, is a rabbi, coach, syndicated columnist, podcast host, speaker, and business strategist who lives and breathes helping people live more meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling lives through the prism of Torah and Judaism. On a hunt to consistently grow and share growth with others, Rabbi Rupp has long looked at Jewish leadership as an opportunity to help others along the way in their Jewish journey. From leading services at Hillel, extensive leadership work in AEPi, working as the Rabbi at UCLA, and then NCSY in San Diego, and now Executive Director at Aish Minnesota, Rabbi Rupp has spent most of his life attempting to empower and educate others. He feels a particular urgency to his work now as Jews are largely disconnected and not seeing the profound relevance and meaning in their religion, opting instead to the abundance of other content out there when so much can be found in their own backyard. In addition, he is profoundly perturbed by the self imposed limitations that people create for themselves, and attempts to solve the problems facing individuals, families, and beyond. In short, G-d wants us to live lives of meaning and fulfilment and it is his mission to attempt to share that as widely as he can. A highly engaging speaker, Rabbi Rupp is not afraid to be open about his past, drawing from his life experience, while infusing his Torah lessons with relevant (and sometimes not relevant) teachings from history, philosophy, and psychology. An MMA enthusiast, fitness nut, and leadership coach, Rabbi Rupp hopes he has something interesting to offer anyone who has the bandwidth to open themselves up to learning. Rabbi Rupp holds two BA’s, one from the University of California, San Diego and the other from Ohr LaGolah Hertz Institute for International Teacher Training, and was ordained by the former head rabbinic judge in Jerusalem. He is an avid reader and is continually engaged in the study of Torah, leadership, psychology and related fields.
